    Description

    For sale is a transformer by Lionel from the Postwar era.  This unit is the early version due to its faceplate having a red "Circle L" in the upper left hand corner.  (This was later replaced with the "UL" symbol.)  It also has a direction button that is painted orange whereas most later versions were red.  Finally, it comes with a blue instruction sheet that is dated 1948.
    The transformer is in great condition with its original cord, free of cracks and works well.  All functions including direction and whistle work well too.
