    Exceptional piece of great beauty APU gas turbine fitted to the Concorde Prototype.

    The map showing lot Construction Plans submitted including lot files describing the test results in serval altitude on oversees flight with this APU engine.
    The main role of this gas turbine (APU Auxiliary Power Unit ) was to start the concord olympus engine on ground.
    This project having never functioned correctly and permanently, it was not selected for the pre-production and production Concorde
    Origin of the APU engine is France.
    To give you an example of the mechanics statement, the first day we took the plane out of the hangar, so on February 4, 1968 for this mini fixed point, we had to get on board around 9.00 - 9.30 a.m., and I believe that we only managed to start ONE engine at idle at around 5.00 p.m. The starting system has nothing to do with what exists on current planes, the prototype start-up system through the APU was a prototype specificity which was very intelligent, as a design, with support for the accessory relay in the event of an engine failure. But it is a small machine, we called it the small machine by the way between us, the small machine caused us concerns until the end of the life of the prototypes, including in its function of starter.
